Beautiful Savior

Thanks to the kids practicing this song, I have been humming and singing this tune all week. One of my favorite hymns. Max and Ruby sang this with a small group of children in church (Sacrament Meeting) on Easter Sunday. I was crying within the first few notes. Ruby said "I knew you would cry. I was just hoping that Dad would, too." Well of course he did. Sure love these sweet kids.

This first one is from The Book of Mormon

our little sunbeam

Max gave his first talk in primary today. It was so cute and I had tears in my eyes the whole time. David helped him so I could sit and watch. We knew the grandparents would want to see, so we had him do it again once we got home. I had to bribe him with ice cream so at the end, you hear him start to say "now i want...(ice cream)." haha. Kids don't forget that kind of bribe.
Thankfully he did NOT pick his nose or have the hiccups for the real thing. :)

He improvised a little, but here's what we wrote on the back of the papers:

I am a child of God.
I lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus before I was born.
Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy.
He sent me to earth to get a body and live with my family.
I can pray to Heavenly Father.
I can live with Heavenly Father and Jesus again.
I know this church is true.
