Tutorial: fabric-wrapped photos

Here's a tutorial for the SUPER SIMPLE fabric-wrapped photos, if you'd like to try it.

{Who knew it was so tricky to take photos of yourself making something? While my mom was here for Christmas, she helped me take these photos. We were laughing our heads off because I kept explaining to her what I was doing, like I was on a show or something? Ha!}

This would be a great way to frame artwork or anything else, too. An easy way to display your children's artwork in their rooms? Or match the fabric to a pillow or quilt in your decor? The possibilities are endless, really.

I took a lot of photos, but it really is simple. Click on the photos to enlarge.

Let me know if you try it! I'd love to see photos.

I got these 11x14 prints from my friend several months ago, I started looking for frames. I couldn't shell out $50 for the frames and mats I really wanted, but I wanted to do something really cute with them.

I found these plastic frames at Walmart (where else?) for, I think, $5 each, and thought there must be a way to make them look cute. Naturally, my thoughts turned to fabric. Here's what I came up with. They*almost* have that wrapped canvas look that I've seen in galleries (right? just humor me). I love the way they look and it's a fun alternative to a regular frame and mat.

It's a fun project. Give it a try!
I'll post a little tutorial tomorrow.

p.s. Friday is WEAR RED DAY. You k
now I love it.
