Well I'd say I was inspired to take "off" the month of May. That's laughable, though, because the only thing I didn't do was custom orders. Everything else just ramped up and things got crazy. I heard one mom say that "May is the new December." So true. Lots of end-of-the-school-year activities and stuff like that. Plus regular life.
I get too overwhelmed if I try to make a wordy post right now, so I'm just going to break it down and catch up quick as possible. If we're friends on facebook or instagram, this is all old news.
Here are some things that have been happening:
1. David turned 31! He celebrated big by going to work, coaching baseball practice, and ordering his own pizza for dinner. Sorry David, I guess only the kids get the fun bdays. He still needs to buy himself a birthday present too, probably.
We had our good friends over for some brownies. I'm holding one of their twin baby girls, and their son is next to Simon. But I guess I know how we'd look with 6 kids (crazy).
2. Mother's Day.... was a nice day. And I forced the kids to get a pic or two with me.
3. Kindergarten Graduation. Ruby had a great year! She looked so cute at graduation and the program was darling. I have a love/hate relationship for events like this. They make me cry, but they are tears of joy (thankful for smart/good kids) along with sad tears that they are growing up too fast.
Saying goodbye to this teacher is hard! We've had her two years in a row. Hopefully she's still teaching if Simon goes to the same school in 2 more years. (fall of 2015).
Max finished school on the last day of the month, too! 2nd grade, here he comes!
4. And would you believe it? David was the hospital, thankfully for just a one-night/two-day stay, but we weren't sure how long he'd be there. It was a quick fix this time, but you never know. Side affect from darn Crohn's Disease! Glad he's feeling better now!!
4. Our dearest friends moved away, too! Simon is missing his little buddy Grant a lot. We are missing their whole family, especially the darling twin babies. We sure loved living next door to them for the past year and a half. Goodbyes are hard!
5. I got a haircut.
This is the only pic I have.
The awkward minivan selfie in the parking lot.
6. This is our new nephew, George. He was born on the floor in the hospital lobby ... my sister-in-law did awesome! Sixth child for my oldest brother. And I made him a quilt, of course.
7. And now, just a week ago ... we moved into a new (to us) place! We are still getting settled, but we're loving it. I'll have to post more about it soon.
I can't believe it's June now ... summer is in full swing 'round here!
Hope to be posting more frequently.
