Orange You Glad - minky quilt

I posted about this quilt (in progress) on Saturday. It's finished now and ready to go to my friend for a belated birthday present.

I'm sorta hooked on making these minky quilts
Would you like to make one?
I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a quilt-along.
Leave a comment if you think this would be fun.
*update - there is also a tutorial here ... you can do it with strips or squares, in any shape - so easy!

It's supposed to hot today and I promised the kids I'd go swimming with them. I guess that means I have to put on my bathing suit. *sigh*

And I'm going out with the mister tonight for our anniversary dinner. Tomorrow marks 6 years for us. :)

Have a great weekend!

P.S. Today is the final day to enter the birthday shirt giveaway HERE!
Thanks to Christy for the review :)

It was our 6th anniversary last weekend too!

What cheerful colors! I'm starting to become quite partial to orange, after being a purple, blue, green person all my life.

One day, I'm going to do a quilt-along, and yours sounds lovely, but I've promised myself to whittle down my WIP list first.

Happy Anniversay! It's so encouraging to see other couples out there making things work and loving each other even when they don't!

The quilt is truly lovely! The fabrics are some of my favorite.

I just finished a denim rag quilt, so although it's tempting to do another, my hand HURT! lol
Beautiful Friday Finish!

A quilt a long sounds fun!! How will you do it?

I may not be able to do one for a little while (maybe sometime in September I'd be game), but don't wait for me!

I love the fabric colors you use!! How fun. I'm thinking of decorating my house in brights-like orange, red, blue. That quilt would be the perfect addition!

Beautiful job! I love these minky quilts you do...but I have a question: does the minky shed like crazy because you leave raw edges?
