I had a GREAT time at Quilt Market in Salt Lake City yesterday. Can't wait to blog about it and share tons of photos! I met a lot of awesome people (were you one of them?) and I'm so glad I got to go.

I am a child of God, but don't share your mormon faith. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, a Christian, I know from God's Word, the Bible, that the Lord Jesus died for me on the cross and there's NOTHING left for me to do to be saved. God's Word teaches that salvation is only by faith - not works. That song in the video (though nicely done) teaches something different.
I loved this video so much. It spoke right to my very soul about God's tremendous love for me. I am a child of God and He has surrounded me with people who inspire and help me be better. You're one of those people.

Rae I'm LDS and we do read the Bible as well. Just to add to what you've probably already learned in the Bible (which we believe in too) in James 2:14 it says: 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your[a] works, and I will show you my faith by my[b] works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?[c] 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[d] And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
While faith is necessary for salvation, in my opinion this scripture also helps us understand the importance of our daily actions.

A Godly life is only evidence of salvation, not the means to get it. ("By their fruits ye shall know them." Matthew 7:20) Good works do not save ("But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Romans 4:5). It is the Lord Jesus Christ that saves. ("Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6) Titus 3:5 says "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy HE saved us".
